Are you surprised? I am surprised in that for the longest time everyone said photos, photos, photos! They’ll get shared more easily and have better reach! I’ve said that to people many times. And I will hold to what Ben Huh said about photos, that they’re the easiest medium to get your followers to engage with because once you’ve seen it you’ve already engaged.
But I’m not surprised in a way because the reach on photos I’ve posted on pages I manage has not been as high as I would expect.
Also, Facebook updated so that native videos play automatically in your feed so of course they’re the most popular. I hate it, too, because I can’t listen to podcasts and surf Facebook at the same time anymore. I’m sorry, Facebook, but I’d rather listen to Ira Glass than mindlessly swipe away.
